"10. LOUIS ANTHONY FIGUEIREDO [FIG TREE] (1823-1891)

Joseph son of Marcelino de la Candelaria and Mary of Paulicena Olive, Figueiredo was born in Piracaia, where he lived his childhood.

He married Mary Scholastica of Ornellas.

Figueiredo the couple had four children: Anthonia, Bruna, John Ernest and Benedicta.

Louis Anthony Figueiredo donated part of the land where the chapel was built Curraly [current Town of John]. Since 1860, his name appears in the history of Piracaia as alderman in 1861-1875 quadrennium and as a delegate to Curraly. It was he who in 1889 opened the first store in the village of tissues, initiating the trade.

Died October 12, 1891 and was buried in Saint Anthony of Waterfall [Current Piracaia]. But five years later, his remains were translated by his son, John Ernest, for the new cemetery Curraly."

Made the elementary course in College Notre Dame of Sion, in Saint Paul, and still very young, lived five years in the United States, he returned to Brazil and graduated in letters at the University of Saint Paul, in 1971, where he began to study philosophy, specializing in existentialism of Jean Paul Sartre, in the York University of Toronto, there met her husband Doctor Robin S. Harris, teacher and official historian of this University."

"7. John Yoseph Baptist Walnut (1825-1909)

John Yoseph Baptist Walnut was born in the city of Porto, in Portugal, in May 1825, son of Benedict Yoseph Baptist and Joanna Pinto. Arrived in Brazil in 1835, at age 10.

Was living in Curraly [current Town of John], becoming one of the first inhabitants of the place. It was there that he married Leopoldina Josepha de Araújo, whose name suggests this is the same family of Adelaide Araujo Pinto, first wife of Fernandes Domingues de Almeida. The couple had several children.

In addition to donating part of the land for the construction of the chapel, John Yoseph Baptist Walnut participated in the development of the place doing other cash donations and supporting other political and economic decisions.

Another link between the ancient inhabitants of Curraly was with the marriage of his son Arnaldo Yoseph Walnut with Maria Luiza of Olive, daughter of Peter of Olive Cezar and Clara Jesuina de Araujo on July 5, 1892."
